Named for a similar reason that Milotic Isle is named--for its long, thin shape, Gyarados Isle is actually relatively unsafe to traverse, due to the fact that much of the island is hollow. Small caves dot the surface that twist downward into chambers that are supposedly used by Pokemon or, according to some researchers, by humans at one point in time. Rock and ground-type Pokemon can be found here sometimes if you look hard enough.
