He could have just been from out of town, probably from somewhere in southern Aniferna like she was, and was traveling up to the north for the first time, but at the same time, he didn't have a Soulmate, so it was possible he was from somewhere else in the world, and was just visiting Aniferna. In an attempt to make small talk, she began, "So, where are you from, Luke? I assume you're not from here, so I thought I would ask~" This would prove once and for all if he was Unifi or not. She heard Nero laughing quietly in her head, telling her that the Nidoking knew what she was getting at as well. Besides, it would make for nice conversation should he be from somewhere outside of Aniferna, especially seeing as Lilith had never traveled anywhere else in the world before. /You're not as subtle as you think you are,/ Nero commented with a grin, one heavy arm patting his much smaller human on the back almost too hard. The girl stumbled forward a couple steps, giving the large Nidoking a glare. The large Pokemon only laughed, before adding on /But neither am I, I guess./ /About as subtle as a Wailord in a school of Goldeen,/ Lilith replied bitterly, narrowing her eyes slightly. However, she quickly got over her frustration at her Nidoking's antics when she heard that Luke was, instead, going to treat her to lunch. /I guess it is only fair, seeing as I did win~,/ she thought, a delighted smile forming on her lips. "Oh, you are just too sweet!" she said, delight obvious in her voice. The wrought-iron archway that marked the entryway to the boardwalk approached, causing Lilith to pause, staring down the Main Street of Utoron, the familiar red roof of the Pokemon Center visible along one side, on the first floor of one of the many tall buildings that lined the large street. "Well, once we get our Pokemon looked at, I know just the place where we can sit and enjoy a nice lunch, okay~? Now, be sure to keep up, I don't want you getting lost!" With that, she stepped through the gates and into the city. Lilith et Nero exeunt. [/style]

It didn't take long for Luke's ignorance of the area to spawn the obvious question: just where had this silver-haired boy come from? It only made sense to ask, considering his lack of a Soulmate and the condition of the crowd during the battle. If Luke was trying to hide something, surely he would have trouble with this question.

And yet, because Luke actually had nothing to hide, and had nothing to act defensive about, he didn't even go through the above thought process. He considered it a curious question from a curious trainer, and responded appropriately: "I'm from Orre; Phenac City, to be exact. Actually, today's my first day in Aniferna. I take it you're from around here?"

The silver hair and the reddish eyes would make sense at this point: his features were far from the local norm, and it only made sense that he was a foreigner from outside the country. In fact, instead of having a feeling towards Nero, it was more like Luke didn't know how to act around a Soulmate... was it just an extension of the person, or was he supposed to treat it as another person there? As Luke looked on, the two seemed to be joking with each-other without saying any words; just what were they whispering about?

Luke's thought about how to act here was interrupted as Lili accepted his offer to pay, Luke returning her enthusiasm with a grin. Lilith led on to the obvious universal sign of the Pokemon center, challenging Luke to keep up. Playful, isn't she?
