Her feet carried her forward as Amalia wandered through the Endless Forest, mesmerized by its beauty. The small cries of bird Pokemon filled her ears, and it was like music to her. It had been merely a day since she left her hometown and her family behind to start her journey. She had decided to camp here for a while until she was ready to head for the next part of Aniferna. Sensing her Soulmate's distress, she smiled and kissed his small bunny head, earning a smile from him. "Don't worry so much. It'll be just fine." she said, earning a slow nod from the male Buneary. I know that. But still, I can't help but feel that we're being watched. he spoke, lowering his large ears to the side and looked around with narrowed eyes. Ceasing her walking, Amalia narrowed her eyes as well, looking around. "Now that you mention it... I feel it too." she said. The atmosphere had gone from peaceful to tense. They were being watched... But by what or who? Kaiser hopped down from his girl's shoulder and stood in front of her, his protective mode kicking in. [/style]

The pair stepped lightly through the forest, the morning mist getting their feet (or hooves, in the case of one of the pair) damp. The Deerling held all of the grace of the pair, easily stepping over roots and large sticks that his little companion stumbled and sometimes even tripped over, making her friend have to stop and help her up.

"When are we gonna get to the clearing?" the tiny Budew asked, trying to move her tiny legs quickly enough to keep up with the Deerling's leisurely pace.

"It shouldn't be much longer now," the Deerling replied softly, wanting to hide the fact that he was lost from his little friend. He had gotten lost about half an hour ago, when he realized the trees around them didn't look familiar. As he walked, he hoped they would stumble across another clearing, one where the Budew could take in the warm morning sunlight and he could nibble on the tender leaves of saplings and the occasional sweet berry that he stumbled across.

"If you're tired, you can ride on my back," the small deer Pokemon offered, stopping and lying down, so the Budew could jump onto his back. She was a little heavy, but he managed to stand up again, continuing on, when he noticed a voice coming through the trees. Freezing, he stepped lightly, watching the person and her Buneary. They knew he was there! Stumbling back, he shivered, wanting to get away from the human. The Budew gave a little squeak of terror, frozen in horror.

"Don't worry!" the Deerling spoke softly, "If they attack, I'll protect you!"

"Oh, my gosh! They're so CUTE!" Amalia cried out, hands clasped together as hearts formed in her eyes. Kaiser's left eye twitched and he sighed, facing the girl. You really are a sucker for cute Pokemon, huh? he asked, trying not to smile at how cute she was right now. Amalia pursed her lips at her soulmate and stuck her tongue out at him. "I can't help it! You're cute too, aren't you?" she grinned, causing the Buneary to blush and look down shyly. Amalia smiled at this then turned to the Deerling and Budew, kneeling down to their level to make them feel less threatened by her. "Don't be scared... Are you lost?" she asked, turning to her Buneary who hopped towards the two Pokemon, sniffing them slightly. Hmm... Judging by their scent, they've been out here for a long time. he indicated, earning a nod from the girl. She extended a hand to them, wanting to show them she meant no harm. "Maybe we can look for a way out of here together. We're lost too." she spoke with a soft tone, honesty evident in her voice. It was true; she was lost as well. And judging by the Deerling and Budew, they meant no harm. [/style]
