His family, the van Holstein's owned most of the businesses in the city, and were not the cleanest of investors. They had great plans for young Wilhelm. He was their only son, though more of a heir than a thing to love. Something to continue the van Holstein name and, more importantly, wealth.

Growing up in such a cold environment and family, it was not very surprising for him to grow up cold and uncaring himself. He did grow to have a desire for collecting. The rare, exquisite and the unique. At any cost. If money could buy you anything you want, why ever doubt it?
As Wilhelm grew older, his parents continued pressuring himself to being an independent, cold businessman. But Wilhelm had other intentions for his life. By the age of 16, he had one of the largest collections of pokemon and rare items in the region. But it was not enough. He turned from buying his items to outright stealing them. First he had others do it, but as time passed, he became a young, agile thief himself. A thrill seeker who loved the adrenaline rush as he escaped through the night.
Of course, Wilhelm could only have achieved this collection because of his unusual Soulmate. He was born without one, but soon found he could form his own body into that of a ghost type. This granted him the abilities to blend into shadows and pass in and out of buildings undetected.
But things went wrong, in the way things already went wrong. The media got a hold of what th van Holstein's were doing. Their dirty businesses. Their casino's, and their illegal trade and evolution of pokemon. This did not end in an action movie finale. It ended in a court law suit. Followed by a whole more. Wilhelm, 21 at the age, did not escape this fate. His entire collection was taken from him, and it ended with him and his entire family in deep debts. And then, when you think you've hit the bottom, you find something darker.
Something awoke inside Wilhelm. Or perhaps it was the Soulmate's dark intent that kindled the flame. He disappeared from public life and public eye, disappearing for over 15 years. Like a ghost, sweeping the lands, or perhaps laying dormant. And then, three years ago, the scent of blood woke him up. There was something new happening. Team Unifi had arrived, and with it, Wilhelm's taste for blood. He left his old identity behind and went in pursuit of the scent of blood.
