"Stop, you rascals! Thief! Thief!"
The vendor ran out from behind his cart, chasing after the pair of monkey Pokemon that were dashing off across the bridge, using the huge wrought-iron lamps to propel them forward. The first, a lithe little Simipour, had a small blue-colored stone hanging around her neck--a little trinket she swiped from the vendor. The second, a slightly larger Simisear, was wearing a pair of dark-colored glasses, making him look slightly ridiculous.
Both of them were denizens of the forest surrounding Miragova, and they were both well-known for causing havoc. Many of the people just called them the Simi Twins and made sure to hide their valuables whenever they saw a flash of red or blue fly past them. There were very few that could actually pin them down and attempt to fight them, but the two seemed so engrossed with their treasures, when they reached the top of Mira Bridge, the two hung on to the lamp, examining their treasures.
"Mine's prettier," the Simipour squeaked, holding the Mystic Water up to the light, examining the glimmering blue stone with awe.
"Yeah? Well, mine makes me look cooler!" the Simisear replied, hanging upside-down by his long, fluffy tail, crossing his arms and frowning in an attempt to look tough. He turned, noticing the vendor standing at the base of the massive lightpole, shouting and flailing his arms at them. Giving a cackle, the Simisear opened his mouth, shooting a small fireball at the vendor, who shouted something, jumping out of the way, and then continued yelling, only much louder.
"How long do you think it'll take him to leave?" the Simisear asked his companion, who only shrugged.
"Oh, please! Someone help me get my wares back! These two thieves need to be taught a lesson!" the vendor shouted, trying to catch the attention of any person around.

It was somehow nostalgic to be in a town that had water running through it, and while the air didn't carry the salty tang of the sea it was still very serene. Luckily Elle had arrived on a day where it wasn't raining or storming -she had heard that this particular seemed to be under a cover of storm clouds every other day- although looking up at the sky it did look slightly overcast. She really wouldn't mind staying in this town for a little longe-
Elle's thought process was cut off when a couple of blue and red blues rushed past her, followed closely by some poor man who was trying desperately to catch them. She had heard a cry of "thieves" and while she wasn't the heroic type, there was a chance she could be rewarded (maybe with a nice warm bed to sleep in for a night. Or two. Or three).
"Not like I'm doing anything better with my time." Elle mused as she gave chase, if it was any other situation she would have marveled the architecture, but there were "thieves" to catch and a possible reward and Pokemon to claim.
"I'm right here, no need to yell old man." Elle replied she walked up to the vender, putting a hand on her hips as she looked up the lamppost, shielding her eyes from the glare of the sun. The criminals were Pokemon, two Pokemon. Elle felt something swell inside her chest at the sight of them, stray Pokemon meant that they could be captured. Captured Pokemon meant extra protection in case those Team Unifi rubes ever caught wind of her (just as a precautionary measure, Elle was more than sure her shifted form could handle a few grunts).
The blue Pokemon, who was silently admiring its treasure while the red one hung upside down from its tail- a normal thing for a monkey-Pokemon to do. The only thing off about it was the sunglasses that -by some defiance of gravity- managed to stay on its face. "Hold this for me," Elle requested, taking her bag off her shoulder and shoving it into the vendor's arms.
Elle cupped her hands around her mouth, calling up to the two Pokemon, "those sunglasses look stupid on you!" Taunting it wasn't the best tactic, but it was the only way Elle could think of to get it down. Shifting in the middle of town didn't seem like the best idea; and even if she did, her Blaziken form wasn't exactly built to climb up thin poles.
She grinned, if this thing decided to turn tail and run she would be able to catch up easily. It was a win-win situation for her.

Right as the two thought they were safe from the annoying vendor, another person stepped up, no doubt trying to play hero. The Simisear put his hands to the sides of his face, waggling his fingers and sticking his tongue out at the woman while the Simipour laughed, pointing at the woman with her spare hand.
However, when the woman said his fancy Blackglasses looked ugly on him, the Simisear frowned, lowering his hands. Quickly, it grabbed onto the lightpost with one hand, releasing it with his tail, and turned to his companion.
"Stay up here, I'm going to teach that human a lesson!" it shrieked, obviously angry, and without allowing the Simipour a chance to reply, it dropped down, flames crackling around a curled fist. Shrieking out a challenge to the woman, it charged, flames sparking around his fist as he went to punch her, and hopefully shut her up.
"Be careful!" the Simipour cried, obviously concerned for her companion. "Don't let that human get the better of you!"

“Oh,holycrap!” Elle shouted as she rolled out of the way, the smell of singed hair filling her nostrils. So this little guy was fast, was he? That could be useful... granted she didn't get a nice face full of fire before she could weaken the little guy. The blue Pokemon didn't seem to be too much of a threat at the moment -meaning it wasn't trying to melt her face off- so she would deal with it later. “You might wanna get away, old guy!” she called to the vendor as she dodged another one of Simisear's attacks, feeling the heat burn against her face. She didn't want to get her stuff set on fire, and she didn't want to be held accountable if one of her attacks hit the old man.
Elle jumped back a few paces and let out a squeak and ducked as another Flame Burst sailed over her head, one that would have hit her square in the face if she let it. She felt her mouth form into a smirk- she wasn't thankful enough about the fact that shifting from one form to the next was instantaneous (none of that drawn out transformation BS, not for her anyway), the only signal to the change being her body engulfed in a bright light.
Elle took a deep breath and concentrated, feeling her Soulmate come to the front of her mind and her body structure changing -it felt as natural as taking a breath of air or walking -she could just imagine the dumb look on the onlookers faces, and she would have laughed in any other circumstance.
She felt her legs growing longer and stronger, her body growing just a little less than a whole foot taller than normal, hands turning into powerful claws. Once it was finished the now six-foot three Pokemon took a step forward. One claw rubbing her wrist and feeling the heat glands under the leathery skin heat up in anticipation, waiting to burst into flames at Elle's will.
If she had lips she would have been grinning ear to ear as she curled one of her claws towards the Simisear; a "come and get me" gesture.

The human was quick. Simisear couldn't help but admire that. This human wasn't like the rest. She knew how to handle herself, obviously. Clenching his fists, the small fire Pokemon screeched something else at the human, trying to land attack after attack, each time only to have the woman dodge him. Screeching loudly, it was obvious that the small monkey's rage was getting the better of him.
"Be careful!" the Simipour cried to her companion when she saw the woman's body become engulfed in a bright light. The Simisear didn't care, his Blackglasses helped shield his eyes from the light, allowing him to see the transformation that was taking place.
"Wait, she's a Pokemon?" the Simisear turned his gaze up to the Simipour, who only shrugged her shoulders. Upon seeing that it was a Fire Pokemon just like himself, the Simisear grit his teeth, eyes narrowing. "Help me out, here!"
"How?" the Simipour asked, but when she saw her companion charging the Blaziken head-on, fist blazing in preparation to land another Fire Punch. Seeing the fire monkey preparing to attack, the Simipour assumed that's what he wanted her to do. Taking a deep breath, the Simipour shot out a small, high-pressure jet of water. Hopefully she would just be able to hit the Blaziken, and not her friend, with the attack. It would be hard, considering that they were closing in one another so quickly...
