Okay, two options for you: they've met several times before and, the first time (maybe during Gabe's brief, awful phase where he wanted to be a Coordinator) Gabe was baffled as to why she didn't swoon and fall at his feet in a genuinely bemused sort of way. And because she DOESN'T do what he expects of her, she never gets boring and so he never loses interest - in fact, she becomes something of a competition. So now they have a history of him hitting on her a lot, persistently if nicely because he's not actually THAT big a dick, and it's pretty much a Thing with them now. xD That's the one where they know each other - the other option is actually playing out their first meeting. But I think having some sort of precedent might be more fun so that they already know each other.
