[/b] Ana's rarely in a bad mood and loves making people happy, especially when she feels like she can come out of her shell a little bit more. She can't stand seeing someone unhappy, and will do anything in her power to get some sort of smile or laugh out of someone.

"AND IN THE DAYLIGHT WE CAN HITCHHIKE TO MAINE
I HOPE SOMEDAY I'LL SEE WITHOUT THESE FRAMES
AND IN THE DAYLIGHT I DON'T PICK UP MY PHONE
'CAUSE IN THE DAYLIGHT ANYWHERE FEELS LIKE HOME"NAME:: Anastasia "Ana" Lara Garder
AGE:: 17
GENDER:: Female
CLASS:: Coordinator
BIRTH SEASON:: Winter
ORIENTATION:: HeterosexualPOSITIVE TRAITS::
-- Respectful; She'd never say anything to offend anyone, and she usually won't express her own opinions unless she feels they are needed. Anastasia believes that everyone deserves a certain amount of respect unless they prove otherwise, and she is very obedient and polite towards authoritative people.
-- Competitive, but fair; she likes to win, and despite her other characteristics Anastasia takes contests very seriously and will always do whatever it takes to win (without cheating, of course). Ana does have a problem with losing, however, and she usually doesn't take it lightly because she holds such high expectations for herself.
-- Open-minded; she likes to try new things and to explore new ideas, Ana usually won't judge someone because of his or her beliefs, mostly because she believes everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Heck, one time Ana even became a vegetarian, and she still practices some of the dietary habits from time to time. She's tried being a trainer and breeder as well, and she's even attempted to become a researcher because she loves to learn. Eventually, she found pokemon contests are her forte. Anastasia believes in trying everything there is to try, and she loves the feeling she gets when she's about to try something new.
-- Straight-forward; when Ana becomes more comfortable around someone, she'll never beat around the bush or try to avoid confronting someone about a situation she believes needs to be discussed. She wants people to know the truth, as she could never stand being betrayed or lied to herself.
-- Easy-going; Anastasia usually goes with the flow, and never tries to swim against to current as that can cause some conflict in whatever she's dealing with-- she isn't necessarily a huge fan of arguing, and she'll do anything she can to diffuse a situation. Ana likes to blend in rather than stand out, though this doesn't apply when she's competing in pokemon contests; the main goal is to stand out when it comes to those.
-- Practical and realistic; she's very frugal and never buys frivolities unless she knows she has the money to waste. Ana tries to keep her priorities in check as much as possible, and she tries to never waste any item. One could define her as conservative in a way, but because of what she owns and her shopping and money habits, not because of her values.
-- Determined; Ana will stop at nothing until she gets the information she wishes to know. She's definitely not one to give up or throw in the towel early, because she likes winning and succeeding; common sense tells her that it is impossible to do so if you stop trying. This trait can get a little out of control, however, when she does something involving chance. If she doesn't get the highest score or win the prize, she'll go at it until she literally has nothing left. Anastasia usually doesn't realize that until it's too late, however, and regrets it terribly afterwards.
-- Truthful; Anastasia will never lie. Ever. She's too big of a believer in karma to do anything she believes to be deceitful or manipulative, and she couldn't stand it if she hurt someone's feelings if she did happen to lie. She'd never forgive herself.
-- In-tune with other people; Ana's really good at reading peoples' facial expressions and body language. This might be the result of her habit of people-watching whenever she's relaxing at a cafe or park or whatnot--usually because she just thinks people are interesting to watch when she has nothing better to do. Since she's pretty much honed this talent, she can tell when someone's lying to her or if they know something she doesn't.

NEGATIVE TRAITS::
-- Immature; even though Ana's 17, she sometimes sill acts like she's a couple years her junior. She doesn't act like a young adult at all, and she still enjoys doing childish things like watching cartoons on Saturday mornings--mostly because she likes the feeling of nostalgia. While this isn't necessarily a bad thing, her immaturity has made it hard for her to socialize with people her own age.
-- Quirky; She has a weird sense of humor and acts and thinks differently than a lot of other people. This trait sometimes keeps people away from her, and because of her quirkiness Anastasia's a little self-conscious, which has driven her to become even more quirky. She'll sometimes act weird just to make people laugh, but sadly she's realized this only works with people that are used to her and have known her for a while; strangers usually don't give her the reaction she's looking for.
-- Reserved; Ana doesn't mind being on her own, and sometimes she even prefers to be alone and away from people, mostly because she just likes the quietness.
-- Nosy; Ana calls it curiosity-- others beg to differ. While she does like to learn about things or events happening in the world, if she happens to hear something that interests her she'll stick her nose where it doesn't belong. Now while she wouldn't butt into a conversation between two people she didn't know because it's impolite, that doesn't mean she wouldn't eavesdrop or move closer to the people having that conversation. With her friends, she's a lot worse; if Anastasia hears one word that catches her attention, she'll instantly bombard them with questions. This would normally be considered as an atypical behavior, but it also depends on how comfortable she is with the person.
-- Vain; since she is a coordinator, Anastasia believes appearance means everything. She knows that the first impression is the most important thing in many situations in life, despite the fact that they can be a little deceiving, and she'll go the extra mile to primp herself and even her pokemon, especially if they don't look up to par in her opinion.
-- Social anxiety; she doesn't do to well in places where there are a lot of new people. Ana gets so nervous to the point where she fumbles over her words and acts like she can't function normally. This anxiety even sometimes affects her before contests, which can take a toll on the performance of her pokemon's appeals. Ana has developed some techniques to help cope with this anxiety, such as meditating, drinking a cup of tea, taking a hot bath, reading, going for a swim, or going for a run to release all of her negative energy and to calm herself down.
-- Worrisome; Anastasia worries about everything. Absolutely everything. She's gotten to the point to where she's made a habit of psyching herself out when anything important or huge comes up. She'll even worry about stupid things. Sometimes she'll make a fuss about something if she's not sure, and will develop outlandish assumptions or reasons for why anything could go wrong.
-- Holds unusually high expectations for herself and her pokemon; she expects only the best from herself and the pokemon, and won't settle for less. If she or her pokemon perform below her expectations, she'll chide herself and her pokemon for not trying hard enough or doing their best. She'll put to much pressure on her pokemon in contests, which can affect their performance and cause them to not do as well as they could have; the thought of encouragement never crosses her mind. In her case, the saying, "you are your worst critic", is entirely true on all levels.
