Late afternoon was always a fairly quiet time in Utoron's main street. The lunch rush had died down, and though there were some who were there for a late lunch or early dinner, for the most part, the restaurants were quiet, though the shops were pretty much packed with shoppers trying to get what they want before the stores closed.
But it was for that very reason that the strays came out at this time.
The two Houndours, following the larger, stronger Mightyena, slipped out of the glow of a gaudy neon sign advertising one of the main street's less-than-savory shops. Out of the alleyway the three stepped, wary of anyone that might see them, before dashing across the street to the next alley. There, they found the scraps of the day's lunch rush. Tearing through half-eaten Corphish salads and grilled Magikarp, they ate hungrily, until one of the employees of the restaurant opened the door and shooed the three away. They dashed back across the street before beginning to trot at a leisurely pace along the street, looking for other alleys that they could eat from.

Following this swiftly, his forehead also banged into the vending machine. He hated these things, he just put some money in, was it so wrong to expect something to come out? Turning around, Genji began to walk dejectedly away from the vending machine in which he had placed money within in order to, hopefully, get something out of it. Flight around the region was quite tiring, even if he was half Honchkrow. He had found himself within Utoron when he decided he would take yet another break and have some fun among the civilians. Genji had heard rumors of Unifi members also lurking about, however Genji did not entirely fear the Unifi people that would so happily shove him against a wall and have fun tearing his insides out.
No, he wasn't all that afraid of them. It was only just now becoming night time, and Genji had very little fear of any misfortunes involving being ambushed by Unifi. Genji wasn't fearless of them, but he also didn't expect to do any shifting any time soon. As far as he was concerned, he would remain invisible under the figurative Unifi radar. However, Genji did have to abandon the vending machine that he wished to eat from before moving on to whatever destination lay before him, so now he was in search of some other cheap food. His search didn't last long before he stumbled upon a Mightyena and two Houndours that followed it. It was not crowded in the streets like it usually was, and guessing by the leisurely walk of the Pokemon they intended to take full advantage of this.
Little did Genji know, they were in the same boat as far as looking for ways to satisfy their hunger. However, Genji wished now to battle these Pokemon and take at least one of them as his own. Genji found that he was incapable of challenging stronger more powerful trainers, seeing as how all he had was his shifted form and a Tepig. Genji's eyes quickly scanned the area, looking about for any other threats that may have noticed him shifting. Not seeing any, Genji quickly made a move to slide into the nearest alleyway. He didn't draw any unnecessary attention from the 3 Pokemon he targeted just yet, and this was desirable for him. Of course, for all he knew, they could have traced him with their eyes.
Genji doubted this, for as of now they still seemed leisurely and Genji still had a wide gap of distance between them. Genji had no reason to believe his less-than-satisfactory Tepig could beat these three alone. However, Genji did consider using himself in battle. Needless to say, Genji was reckless when it came to Pokemon battling. He knew not his own capabilities, all he knew was that he was quite destructive in his shifted form. He was unsure what his Tepig would be able to handle, but he had some sort of uncertain faith in it. However, Genji would not go into this without a plan.
Far from it.
Genji swiftly shifted into Honchkrow in the alleyway he had chosen for cover, then swiftly ascended to the top of the building. From there, he looked over the building at the three Pokemon before quickly shifting back to his human form. Genji dropped a Pokeball at his side, Tepig appearing from it. Genji had a plan, needless to say, and one that he was willing to execute swiftly. "Vibe, you will attack the biggest one there, the Mightyena. Fight as I've taught you, and I will be sure to instruct you if necessary. Don't stop fighting, please. I am putting myself in harm's way, but I'm sure I will be okay." Genji estimated that he was about 2 floors from the street below that the two Houndours and Mightyena resided. Genji nodded at the Tepig, that quickly jumped from the roof of the building.
As gravity came into effect and Tepig descended towards the ground, its body became engulfed in flame as it came down towards the Mightyena, using Heat Crash . This may have seemed completely spontaneous, but Tepig did have a resistance to flame, in which the Houndour were bound to be using. Genji shifted into his Honchkrow form once more, and then took flight as he descended upon the 3 dog-like Pokemon. Genji did not plan on playing around here, and had thought this through to an extent, even if he was using his own self. Genji used Swagger on the female Houndour, in which would, of course, raise its attack sharply but then confuse the Pokemon. However, without little wait in between, Genji then used Foul Play on the same Houndour. One, because he saw the comedic background of using Swagger and then Foul Play on a female, and two because it was just a good combination.
Genji made an attempt at gliding away safely from the attacks, hoping to not have to take any hits in his retreat back to the nearest building's roof for cover. The group of Pokemon heard the ruffle of feathers, but they thought nothing of it. Murkrow and Honchkrow were coming out to feast on the leftovers and scraps just as they were. It was the way of the scavenger. What they didn't realize was that the ruffle of feathers was not just a Pokemon flying over them looking for some half-eaten food to snack on, but it was a challenge.
Immediately, the searing heat of the Tepig coming crashing down on the Mightyena caused the large beast to release a yelp, leaping away from the flaming pig with a snarl.
"Hey! Get away from him!" the female Houndour barked, immediately going to attack the Tepig from behind when the large Honchkrow swooped down, using some kind of move on her. She felt her anger rise, but at the same time, she felt her mind cloud. She stumbled slightly, trying to attack the Honchkrow, but she was thrown back as the Honchkrow launched yet another attack. She flew backwards, rolling a couple times, before she managed to slowly get back to her feet, still unsteady.
"Sis!" the other Houndour cried, attempting to get this his sister, but the desire to attack the Honchkrow was too great. He jumped, snapping at the Honchkrow, but just barely missing as the Pokemon took off. So, he turned his gaze at the Tepig that he left behind. Both the injured Mightyena and the Houndour glared at the Tepig. The Mightyena first pulled its lips back, revealing its sharp fangs and opening its eyes wide, using Scary Face on the Tepig. The male Houndour growled and, opening his jaws, released a cloud of thick Smog. Meanwhile, the female, who had managed to regain lucidity long enough to see her brother, shook herself and ran up to attack the Tepig with a Bite. However, her mind returned to its hazy state just in time for her to completely miss the Tepig and end up hitting the pavement on the other side of the opponent, rolling away.

The female Houndour in which he targeted had taken the two hits that had been launched at it, and it was clear that she had been confused, her anger grew, and of course the Foul Play had also done some damage. Just as Genji had expected, the other Houndour was not prepared to let Genji get away with the attacking of his "sister". They seemed to be in this together, all three of them. The targeting of one and not the other was completely by choice, however Genji did not care about what the results would have been had it been more concerned with the other Pokemon enough to attack it instead of the other. However, Genji had already planned to use Tepig as the "decoy" and/or the unit that would break the silence and make the presence of a threat known. Tepig had, of course, lived up to its expectations as it crashed down upon Mightyena.
Actually, this was going behind satisfactory. The confusion that was induced to the female Houndour had allowed the Tepig to avoid the attack thrown at it without even having to do any evasive manuevers. The attack that the other Houndour had tried on Genji had been avoided by Genji's fleeting movements. All that Genji was concerned about was the actions that the Pokemon, Mighyena, was using. The use of Scary Face on his Pokemon was not desirable. With the defense of the Pokemon being lowered substantially, he had to think of what his next available option would be. Of course, this option quickly became obvious as Genji saw his opportunity to help his efforts quite substantially. However, it quickly became obvious to the retreating Genji that now the male Houndour had worked up the energy to coat the area in Smog. The smog covered the area, Tepig coughing violently from it, however Genji found that he was above the Smog slightly and uneffected by the move. Genji hoped that his Pokemon didn't end up poisoned by the techinque, however it was likely that eventually the effect would come about.
Genji perched himself on the nearest building before quickly descending upon the battle, using Haze, the icy mist quickly sliding throughout the scene. Hah! This was perfect, actually. The lowered speed of Tepig would be nullified, as well as the attack that it had raised of the female Houndour's. Two positives, no negatives. What do you know. Meanwhile, Tepig opened its mouth as a flame began to form within its body. The flames were then launched towards the Mighyena, using Flamethrower in its direction. Hopefully, Vibe wouldn't try to set the Houndours on fire. However, the Pokemon seemed intent on challenging Mightyena 1 on 1. After using the move Haze, the Honchkrow's strong wings picked itself back up as it neared the female Houndour, hoping to demolish any life force it may have left with a Wing Attack. However, Genji was unsure if this would be enough, or if the pup would be capable of continuing.
