Hey! I'm not positive if I'm going to need to have a thread posted over here, but I'll put it up just in case it ends up being that way.
On Saturday, my laptop broke at the hinge. It's still functioning, but a screw came loose below the screen, and now the screen half of the laptop is splitting in half. The screw doesn't want to/can't go back in to solve the problem. My mom took it into Best Buy, and they basically told us that to fix everything, it'll cost half as much as a new laptop will.
So, I'm going to be getting a new laptop -- and very soon (within the next week, hopefully, according to my mom). Until then, I can still use my old laptop. But it's more delicate to handle than it was, we have to keep it open and treat it more or less like a desktop, and we have to make sure the side of the screen isn't getting worse. I personally don't want to negatively affect the situation, so I may end up not touching it unless I have to (to check e-mail and do homework and such) until I get my new laptop.
Which means there's a possibility I won't be on for a little bit. I might still be around, but I also might become scarce for a little while.
Sorry~. ; A ; [/blockquote]
