The morning was unnaturally warm, seeing as it was the middle of winter. However, the winter had proved to be very mild anyway, making it all the easier for the pair of little Pokemon to go searching around the shallow river for something to eat.
The Deerling lead the way, the little Budew, his good friend, tottering behind him in the fashion of a true baby Pokemon. The twin vines on the top of the little baby's head were opened slightly, allowing the warm sunlight to seep in, giving her enough energy to keep up with her larger, stronger friend.
"Are you okay?" the Deerling paused, turning to keep an eye on his tiny friend. When he saw the Budew stop, and only give a little nod, the little deer said, "Well, go ahead of me. That way I can keep an eye on you and make sure nothing tries to hurt you."
"O-okay!" the little Budew stumbled ahead of the Deerling, who kept an easy pace with the little Pokemon, occasionally pausing to nibble on a little tender shoot of grass that was growing near his feet. It was a good thing the winter was so mild, otherwise the little Budew might have frozen. Luckily he was there to help keep her warm during the cold nights.
The sound of something crunching underfoot a short distance away caused the Deerling to stop and perk his ears up, looking in the direction of the noise. "Did you hear that?" he asked, watching as the Budew stopped, turned around, and toddled back over to his side, hiding behind him. It didn't matter what it was, he was ready to defend this little Budew with all he had.

| [atrb=style, padding: 20px;] Kenjiro had just been moving through different towns. He was still on quest after all. He wanted to find out what happened to his parents. He would do anything to know. He had to.. for his mother, and for his aunt. Their entire home had been destroyed ans she had gone missing. So, he had to be strong now, he had to be strong for her. But, he also wanted to be kind, and help whoever he could. Meaning humans and pokemon alike. Though, it was all in search for a home that he could call his own in the end.
The young boys journey had led him to the sea of flowers, or rather, it would have been. Snow littered the ground despite the warm weather. He loved the feeling of warmness. It was nice compared to the cold days and nights he had experienced recently. He would gladly accept this weather over anything else. Snuggled in the child's arms however, was his small soulmate. His soulmate being Shaymin. Though, the boy didn't think of that at all. To him, he didn't know how rare he and his soulmate were.
The boy had just been exploring honestly and hadn't known about the pokemon that he would encounter. The small little shaymin in his arms reacted to the few pokemon up ahead though. "K-Kenjiro.. there are some pokemon ahead." it squeaked in its soft voice. Kenji, despite everything that had happened was as cheerful as ever. He raced forward his shaymin still wrapped up in his arms. When he saw the two he smiled. Even though he wasn't that much bigger than the two of them he knelt down on his knees.
"Heya! My names Kenjiro! Do you two have names?" he asked with a bright beaming smile on his face. He didn't want to fight, actually it didn't even cross his mind. He only hoped that the two pokemon would be all right with him talking to them. "Hello." alya spoke up a bit. She was getting a little excited herself, with the company of the other pokemon. |

"Listen!" the Deerling's ears perked and swiveled toward the sound of footsteps. By just how loud they were, and the fact that it sounded like there were just two feet, the Deerling assumed they were going against a human. He immediately lowered his head, ready to ram the offender if they were hostile, but when he noticed that the visitor was just a child, he raised his head, blinking his large eyes.
Both the Deerling and the Budew were taken aback by the human's curiosity and the fact that he didn't seem like he wanted to attack or capture them. But what surprised them even more was the Pokemon that was with them. No young Pokemon did not go through life without having heard at least one story of Shaymin.
Though the human would only be able to hear the Deerling repeat his name over and over, the Shaymin could have easily made out his words. "You aren't hear to capture us, right?" he shied back slightly, the Budew peeking out from behind her friend, her eyes full of curiosity. She had only heard stories of Shaymin, but she had never expected to actually see one with her own eyes! Toddling forward from the safety of the Deerling, she walked unsteadily closer to the human, looking up at the Shaymin. "You're a lot prettier than Misha told in the stories..." she said in wonder, her tiny eyes fixated on the little white and green Pokemon in the boy's arms.
Misha, the Deerling, then ventured forward a couple steps, still wary of the human and ready to attack if necessary.

| [atrb=style, padding: 20px;] In all his life, Kenjiro only had met so many pokemon. So, a few of them he didn't really know. These two were a few of them, the deer in particular. It was so cute! He loved how cute it looked. The boy had the urge to just pet it and hug it and do so many cute things with it. But, he knew that the pokemon didn't know him so he kept his distance from it. He tilted his head a bit and let his big blue eyes blink when the pokemon seemed to be a bit angry. Had he done something wrong? He had only asked what their names were.
Kenjiro smiled a bit as the deering seemed to relax a bit. It seemed to speak though the boy didn't understand. He only wished he cold understand all pokemon. For now, he just had to get a translation from his darling alya. He looked down at the small shaymin in his arms. She looked up at him. "It was asking.. if you were going to capture them." she said softly. Kenji looked stunned and gasped. "Of course not! I was just passing through. I'm sorry if I came into your territory or something like that." he said.
He looked between the two pokemon before sitting down on the snow. He had a lot of warm clothing on, so it wouldn't be to much of a problem he guessed. He set little alya down in the snow making sure she had her footing. The small little shaymin looked at the budew as it came to her. Alya blushed a bit at her comment. "R-Really? Thank you! " she said before trotting over to the little budew and cuddling against it. She liked that sort of thing, and Kenji had given her all the cuddles she had asked for. It was nice seeing her get to be with other pokemon as well.
He looked at the deering. "Don't worry! I won't hurt either of you!" he said with a kind smile. He reached a hand out gently to place on the top of the deer's tiny head. If it wanted to it could pull away but he was content to pet its head gently if it didn't. |

Misha still hung back, watching as the boy placed the Shaymin down in front of the Budew. He knew of Shaymin to be the gentlest Pokemon of them all, and the kindest, but in the company of a human? He didn't know what to expect. His gaze followed as the boy sat down on the ground with the Shaymin, allowing the little white Pokemon to dash right up to the Budew and curl up.
As soon as the little grass Pokemon felt the warmth against her, she let out a squeal of joy and plopped herself down on the ground, burying herself into the Shaymin's soft, grasslike quills. It was right about that time that she raised her head, looking up at Misha, and said, "See? They haven't hurt me yet! Come on! They seem really nice!"
With that, the small deer Pokemon relaxed slightly, tensing up for only a split second when he felt the boy's hand touch the top of his head. However, when he felt no pain, he relaxed again, enjoying the feeling of the boy's warm hand stroking the top of his head. That, along with the boy's gentle words that he wouldn't hurt either of them, was plenty enough to relax him.
